Join best-selling author Will Hillenbrand as he shares his award-winning stories and celebrates the one-year anniversary of MidPointe Library System’s Fort Liberty Playland Storywalk® on Thursday, October 7 at 11:30 AM.
All ages will be delighted to “walk with Will” as he highlights featured Storywalk® book, “Sneeze, Big Bear, Sneeze” along with his many other works. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
Installed in summer 2020, the Storywalk® at Fort Liberty Playland is located at 6845 Van Gorden Road, Liberty Township, Ohio, and was constructed as a partnership between MidPointe Library System and Liberty Township. The project was funded in part through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Will Hillenbrand is a celebrated author and illustrator whose published works include over 65 books for young readers. In addition to his own self-illustrated titles, he has illustrated the works of writers and retellers including Verna Aardema, Judy Sierra, Margery Cuyler, Judith St. George, Phyllis Root, Jane Yolen, Karma Wilson, Maureen Wright, Daniel Pinkwater, Olivier Dunrea, Eve Bunting and Jane Hillenbrand. In his work, Will uses a combination of traditional drawing methods and direct impression media to create his magical illustrations.
