A New Storywalk in Liberty Township from MidPointe Library System

MidPointe Library System has partnered with Liberty Township to bring a new feature to the community that can be enjoyed by all in a socially distanced way! Last week, a 16 panel storywalk (frames displaying storybook pages) was installed to delight all ages.

The start of the storywalk begins just past the playground at Fort Liberty Playland and continues a third of a mile down the walking path towards Reserves Park. Visitors can make their way through the storywalk at their own pace, enjoying both the fresh air and a book that will change every few months. The first featured book is “What a Treasure!” by Jane and Will Hillenbrand.

Fort Liberty Playland is located at 6845 Van Gorden Road in Liberty Township and is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

This project was funded in part through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.

The MidPointe Library System serves a population of almost 200,000 people in the cities of Middletown, Trenton, and Monroe and the townships of West Chester, Liberty, Lemon, Madison, and Wayne with a collection of nearly half a million materials. Currently, the Library offers locations in Middletown, Trenton and West Chester that are open to the public. Curbside service is available at these locations, as well as branches in Liberty Township and Monroe. For more information, please visit www.midpointelibrary.org.
