Middletown and Trenton Locations Offer Free Lunch for Kids

MidPointe Library Middletown and MidPointe Library Trenton are once again sites for the Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is supported by a partnership between the United States Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Department of Education which provides meals to anyone 18 and younger during the summer. MidPointe Library Middletown and MidPointe Library Trenton have a sponsor each year to provide the meals and this year’s sponsor is UMCFood. There is no registration involved, and no paperwork to fill out. Simply come to one of the following locations to receive your meals. This year the process is a tad different as meals are bagged and ready to “grab and go” and adults may pick up meals without their children present. There will be no SFSP meal distribution on May 25 at either location.

MidPointe Library Middletown started distributing meals on May 18 at the Library, with meals available on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. On Mondays, children will receive 3 lunches and milks and on Thursdays, children will receive 4 lunches and milks. Lunches will be provided through August 31.

MidPointe Library Trenton will start distributing meals on May 27 at Home Avenue Park, with meals available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
